EASY~PEASY CURLY Q REFLECTION TAG

Recently I have been experimenting with different effects for sig tags to use on the various email groups I belong to. Many people have complimented them and asked how I made them... This is how I made my "Curly Q Reflection Tag". You will need a tube of your choice... or you can download mine HERE

Start a new image as in fig 1.

Add a new layer (layers / new raster layer ) as in fig 2.

Open your tubes tool and select my "kktftitania" tube or the tube of your choice. If you use my tube, resize to 75%... if your own, make sure it fits the canvas with plenty of space around it. (fig 3)

Use your mover tool to position the tube slightly off centre to the left (fig 4)

Now go to effects / geometric effects / Curly Q and apply as in fig 5.

Add a new layer ( layers / new raster layer ) as in fig 2 above. Reapply the tube as in fig 3 above, then use your mover tool to position it slightly to the right of the previous tube as in fig 6.

Go to effects / sharpen / sharpen, then effects / 3D effects / drop shadow and apply as in fig 7.

Next go layers / merge / merge all (flatten), then go to image / add borders (fig 8)

Use your dropper tool to select a colour from your image then use your magic wand to select the border. Now use your flood fill tool to fill the border with your chosen colour, then go effects / 3D effects / inner bevel and apply as in fig 9.

Go back to effects / geometric effects / Curly Q and apply as before. Now go effects / edge / enhance then selections / select none. That`s it! Your new tag is ready for you to add your text ...
