EASY~PEASY CURVED TEXT |
Paint Shop Pro Tutorials by Karen |
It took me simply ages to learn how to curve text, but since learning how, I have devised my own way to do it which is easier and quicker than the way I learned. Here`s how... |
Open the image you want to add text to or start a new one if this is what you want
to do. Go layers / new raster layer and set as fig 1. |
Click your preset shapes tool, then right click and select tool options and set as
fig 2 |
Set your styles pallete with stroke solid colour, and choose a colour that will show up well on your graphic (black in my case) and set the fill to null. Now making sure you still have the preset shapes in use, drag your mouse pointer over your graphic to draw an elipse to your desired size. If you need to relocate it, place the mouse pointer in the centre, hold it down and drag the elipse into place (fig 3 / 4) |
Now click on your text tool then hover over your elipse until you see an "A" with a curve under it (fig5) |
Click to open the text tool, set your font, size, colour etc write your text and
click ok. Your text will appear at the top of your elipse.... (fig 6) |
Keeping text selected, add any bevels, fills, shadows etc you want, Use the mouse to drag it into the desired position then go selections / select none, say "yes" to the popup, the text will now be moved to your spare layer, you can now hit delete to get rid of the elipse. Use the mover tool if you need to finalise the text position, then go layers / merge / merge visible. ... Thats It!!! |
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, which was written for psp v 7 but should adapt for other versions. |
