LITTLE DONKEY |
Paint Shop Pro Tutorials by Karen |

When I wanted to make a little donkey for a graphic, I couldn`t find a tutorial for
one, so I scanned a photo of an ornament I have and made one myself from that. Then I thought other people might like to make him, so I made this tutorial! Before we begin you will need my files zip. CLICK HERE to download. Unzip the "kkdonkeysels" folder into your psp selections folder, and the fur fills into a folder of your choice. |
Ready?... lets begin Start a new image as in fig 1 |

Open up the 4 fur fills and minimise them. Add a new layer (layers / new raster layer), call it "body" Go selections / load from disk and open "kkbody.sel" Set your foreground to pattern and load "kkmedfur" as in fig 2. |

deselect (selections / select none). Add a new layer and call it "offlegs", go selections / load from disk and open "kkofflegs.sel", flood fill with med fur as before and deselect. Add a new layer and call it "nearlegs". Load "kknearlegs.sel" and fill with med fur as before then deselect. Add a new layer and call it "head", load "kkhead.sel" fill with med fur and deselect. Now go layers / merge / merge visible. Activate your retouch tool and set as in fig 12. |

Click on the middle tab and change setting to "smudge". Close dialogue box. Carefully use the retouch tool to smudge around the edges to soften and "fluff" them a bit, and blend in where the different shades meet up. Now resize your donkey as preferred - the sample below is at 60%... (I did the smudging quickly as a guide, take your time to achieve a better look) Now go effects / sharpen / sharpen That it... your very own little donkey. Tube him or save as psp image. |
