EASY~PEASY FILLED TEXT |
Paint Shop Pro Tutorials by Karen |
I have often been asked how I do my text with pattern or gradient fill, so I decided a tutorial would be useful. This is going to be a very quick and simple tutorial, I am just giving the basics on how to fill your text, any other effects such as bevels, shadows, frames etc are up to you, (there are literally hundreds of variations on the theme, my choice wouldn`t neccessarily suit everyone, and a tut showing them all would be impossibly big!!!) Here we go then... |
Start a new image large enough for the text you want to do, or open the image you
want to add text to. Set your styles pallette so the foreground is on solid colour
and the background is on pattern or gradient. Choose the colour and pattern/gradient you want to use. (fig 1) |

Click on your text tool ("A" in a box) then click on your image to open the text
tool. Choose a nice broad font for best results and size it to fit your image. Type out your text then click ok. (fig 2) |

Use your mover tool to position your text if neccessary. If you want to add any bevels, shadows, sharpening or other effects to your text, do it now. Next go selections / select none then layers / merge / merge visible. Now if you want to decorate your image, add edges or frame etc, do it now then save it. That`s it!!! easy wasn`t it?... |

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial which was written for PSP7 but should adapt for
other versions. Close window to return to tutorials index. If you didn`t come here from the tutorials index and want to go there now CLICK HERE |
