EASY ~ PEASY FLOWERS
Paint Shop Pro Tutorials by Karen
Would You believe I made all the above "flowers" myself, using just tubes and the "Kaleidoscope" tool!
They are best tubed and are great for backgrounds, illustration, decoration, greetings cards etc...
Here`s how it`s done...

Important... Please only use your own tubes for this, or get permission from the person who made them first
...using tubes for this tutorial does constitute modifying them...
Thankyou..
Start a new image  ( file / new ) with settings as per fig 1
Click on the tubes tool, right click on it and select tool options, then choose a tube.
Make sure the tube will fit on to the canvas, resize if neccessary.
Close tubes dialogue box then click on the canvas to add your tube.
For this tutorial I will be using my orange rose tube,
but it doesn`t have to be a flower! (fig 2)
Now go to effects / reflection effects / kaleidoscope and make settings as fig 3 and click ok.
You should now have your basic flower (fig 4)
You need to remove unneccessary background and tube it.
Simply go to edit / copy / edit / paste as new image. Your flower will now fill the canvas.
Next go to file / export / picture tube. Name your tube and click ok.
That`s it ... easy ~ peasy!!!
Note :
I set my kaleidoscope as above for purpose of writing this tutorial. Don`t be afraid to experiment, by changing the settings you can get many exciting flowers, and even stars! I have had some really attractive flowers from the most unlikely tubes... this black & white one was made from a tube of my dog!!!
...AFTER...
...BEFORE...
...Just do your own thing, and have fun...!!!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial which was written for P.S.P Version 7 but should adapt for other versions.
