EASY ~PEASY MARBLES |
Paint Shop Pro Tutorials by Karen |

There might come a time when you need marbles for graphics, like if you make childrens
images or design a virtual playroom for instance... so why not make your own and take all the credit!!! You will need a glass globe tube... you can download mine HERE ... unzip into your tubes folder. Here`s how I make my marbles... |
Start a new image as in fig 1. |

Go up to effects / texture effects / sculpture, choose a fill pattern with either a glass effect or at least two colours then click OK. (fig 2) |

Now go effects / geometric effects / circle (fig 3) |

Then effects / geometric effects / twirl (as fig 4) OK. |
Click on freehand tool (lasso) right click it and choose tool options, set as fig
5. |

Now use the pointer to draw and select the twirly bit in the centre, resembling the coloured bit of a marble as close as possible. (fig 6) |

Right click your selection then go edit / copy / edit / paste as new image and close the original as it`s no longer required. Now go effects / geometric effects /pinch (as fig 7 ) click OK |

Click on the deformation tool and use the pointer to drag the top and bottom towards each other to narrow down the image a bit. (fig 8) |

Next go image / canvas size (fig 9) click OK. |

Go up to layers / new raster layer (fig 10) OK |

Click on the tubes icon, right click it and select tool options. Choose a glass globe and close dialogue box. (fig 11) |

Click on your image to add the glass. If like mine it doesn`t fit, use the deformation
tool to resize/reposition the glass, or resize the tube at the tubes tool
then add to image (fig 13) (the glass shopuld just about cover the coloured part end to edge). |

Now go layers / merge / merge visible, resize the marble if you wish then save as tube or psp image for future use. That`s it!... why not try different colours and make a set...have fun!!! |
