SPIKY HALO & TWIRL
SIGTAG IN PSP 8

While playing around with PSP 8 to get used to all the new effects etc,
I have made myself a few nice new sigtags...
which has resulted in requests for instructions on how I made them!
This tutorial will show you how to make the one above.

Before we begin you will need my zipfile...

Unzip "kktfstrawberries" into your psp 8 tubes folder
and "Budmo Jiggler" into your system fonts if you don`t already have it.

Ready?... let`s create our strawberries tag!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial which is written for PSP V 8
but should adapt to work in other versions.
Start a new image as in fig 1.
Go layers / new raster layer / ok.
Launch your tubes tool by clicking the tool icon on the left.
Your tubes tool will now launch above your workspace.
Click on the last tube you used and find "kktfstrawberries".
Change the scale size to 120% and leave everything else. (fig 2a)
Now click on your canvas to add the tube and centralise it (fig 2)
Now go effects / distortion effects / twirl and apply as in fig 4.
Reposition the tube if neccessary as in fig 7
Then go adjust / sharpness / sharpen.
Add a new layer as before.
Set your foreground to #C00000
and background to # 0A4A0A (fig 8)
Next go effects / distortion effects / spiky halo and apply as in fig 3.
Add a new layer as before, then apply the tube again but at 100%.
Now go effects / 3D effects / inner bevel and apply as in fig 6.
Move the image up a bit if required, position as in fig 5
Click on the text tool icon on the left (A) to launch the tool.
The text tool will now launch above your workspace.
Select "Budmo Jiggler" font (or one of your choice)
Make the scale size appropriate for your name.
Select "floating" under "create as"
Tick / check "Anti-alias"
Set bold text (click on B to highlight it.)
Set "stroke width" to 1.0
"Alignment" central
Leave everything else as it is (fig 9)
Type in your name then click "apply".
Move the text to the bottom and centralise it,
now go selections / select none.
Next go back to effects / distortion effects / spiky halo and apply as before.

Add a new layer then reapply your text, position as before.
Keep selected then go effects / 3D effects / inner bevel and apply as before.
Now go effects / edge effects / enhance
then deselect (selections / select none).

Go layers / merge / merge all (flatten)
Save as jpeg.

That`s it, easy wasn`t it!
