SEAMLESS
BACKGROUND TILE
Paint Shop Pro Tutorials by Karen
I was messing about learning the effects in version 8, and accidentally made this background tile,
which I thought was very attractive and unusual.
In this tutorial I am going to show you how to make it too.
You can use any tube but if you want my Nasturtium flower
CLICK HERE to download and unzip into your PSP 8 Tubes folder.
Remember, the tube scale is given for my tube, you may need to alter this if you use a different one.

Ready?... let`s get tiling!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial which is written for PSP V 8 but should work in other versions.
Start a new image as in fig 1.
Go effects / artistic effects / balls & bubbles.
Click on "shape" and set as in fig 2
Next click on "surface" and set as in fig 3
Click on "material"
(yours might show a solid colour, gradient or pattern)
On the next screen click on "gradient", choose "Metal brass" - set as in fig 4. OK.
Now go effects / image effects/ seamless tiling and apply as in fig 5.
Add a new layer. Click on the tube icon on the left, your tube tool will appear above your workspace showing the last tube used. Click on the last tube to open the tool
and find "kktfnasturtium" (or the tube you want to use) and click on it to select.
Set the size scale to 50% and leave everything else as they are.
(you might need to use a different scale for another tube) (Fig 6)
Now click on the image to add the tube, centralise it.
Repeat the tiling (effects / image effects / seamless tiling)
Next go layers / properties and change the opacity to 50% (fig 7)
Now go layers / merge / merge all (flatten).
That`s it... a simple yet stylish seamless background tile!
You can resize it if you wish, but remember to go adjust / sharpness / sharpen.
Why not use the colouriser to make different colours!
Enjoy!
