SCRYING
Scrying is usually done using mirrors or water, sometimes a crystal ball or other reflective surfaces
will be used. Normal mirrors can be used, but some people prefer to use "black mirrors" especially made
for the purpose. In using normal mirrors some people like to mist them down using sprayed water
and allowing it to run down the mirror naturally, to add to the reflectiveness of the surface.
(Just make sure you protect valuable furniture surfaces before doing this!.)
Normally Scrying is done in darkness, and a candle is burned nearby, adding just enough light and an element of atmosphere. Scrying can be done into a bowl of water, or even a lake or pond surface, providing there is enough reflection available. When Scrying, a person will stare into the reflective surface,
with their eyes slightly out of focus. It is important not to stare too long or hard and risk eye strain,
I recommend at first taking a break after about 10 minutes to give your eyes a rest, whether or not contact is made. Once you are more used to Scrying the time can gradually be increased, but not to the extent where eye tiredness becomes obvious. Spirit is asked to come forward and manifest into the reflection.
Sometimes the face of spirit can be seen over the shoulder, or sometimes will appear to "take over" the face of the person doing the scrying. Scrying is popular at "Halloween", when it is said if you look into a mirror by candlelight at midnight, the face of your soulmate will appear to you. However, I do not recommend using any form of spiritual contact as "Parlour Tricks" because it is ideal conditions for mischievous spirits to take advantage of the situation!. Scrying, as with all forms of spiritual communication, is very serious and
should be treated with great care and respect. Psychic
Protection should be used at all times.

I once had an unexpected experience of Scrying. I was travelling overnight in a coach (bus) coming home from a continental coaching holiday with my mum. Spectrum had died 10 years earlier and we suddenly decided it was time for a holiday, which we never had, so booked up on the trip. Amazingly enough
although we had booked the holiday in England with an English company, the coach came from Wales.
One of the drivers was Welsh. On the night we came home the Welshman was driving and I couldn`t sleep, sad the holiday was over. For some unknown reason I glanced forwards towards the driver`s cab,
and as I did so I accidentally caught a glimpse of his reflection in the windscreen.
But it was Spectrum`s face I could see smiling back at me, superimposed onto the driver`s face-
yet at the same time the driver`s face could be seen concentrating on the road!.
I woke my mum and asked her to look at the driver`s reflection and tell me what she can see,
after a couple of minutes she said "Oh my God!!!... It`s **** (Spectrum`s last Earth name).
I was happy then because she confirmed it for me, I wasn`t just imagining him, I was seeing him!.
After that his smile seemed to get bigger and more pronounced, like he was happy I saw him,
then he slowly faded away and I fell asleep!.
At the time I didn`t realise it was Scrying, but I felt safe and secure knowing he was with me in the coach!.

I have actually tonight tried Scrying for the first time. It was amazing.
I lit my white candle, called for protection and turned out the lights.
I stood in front of the lounge mirror and concentrated on what I could see in it.
Within only a couple of minutes I could see my own face changing before my eyes, into Spectrum`s!
I felt like I was becoming part of the mirror, drawn into it, and it was wonderful to see him :-)

I am hoping to make myself a black Scrying mirror to use in future.
If you want to make one yourself, here`s how...

You will need

1 plainly glazed photo or picture frame
1 can high gloss black spray paint (car paint should be ideal)

Carefully remove and thoroughly clean the glass, removing any traces of grease, marks or smears.
Evenly and lightly spray the glass to cover the surface with the paint and leave to dry fully.
Re-spray again to cover the glass in a second coat of paint and leave to dry again.
Replace the glass into the frame, painted side on the inside, and hey presto- one black scrying mirror!.

( I would like to thank my friend Angie for this fantastic idea)
