TRANCE Trance Mediumship is just that... The medium will perform their relaxation or meditation routine until they reach a level of conciousness where they can connect to spirit but are still coherent to the physical world. When they are ready, in a "Trance" state of mind, spirits will communicate through them to their loved one/s within the room. The medium will either speak with their own voice, with their guide`s voice, or sometimes the spirit will be able to connect in "Direct Voice Communication" and his/her voice can be clearly recognised by the person/s receiving the message. If the medium is especially gifted, they may also be able to perform "Transfiguration" where they can take on the spirit`s features, persona and stature! (Also known as "Channelling") I can`t at this point give too much information, because I have not reached this level of ability, and have not had very much experience in Trance mediumship. Except that I have been lucky enough to see the British "Gittos Twins" at work. Gayna Gittos takes on a Trance and Transfiguration state, her guide "Blue Mountain" speaks through her, and also spirit loved ones of audience members speak through her. This was an awesome experience and one I would very much like to see again. If you get a chance to see them at work I highly recommend it. Also I recommend their booklet and audio cassette which should be available at the demonstration. One of the things that most impresses me with the book is how the story of "Tywane" and "Blue Mountain" (Their spirit names) is very similar to Spectrum and me, how they too are soulmates and eternally bonded. Like us they have been partners for thousands of years. Like us they have lived many many lifetimes together, and like us they have lived in past lives near a beautiful waterfall. At last I found others who share the same intense and eternal love as we do.
